A Turkish native, Taner was born in 1960 in Sivas, Turkiye.  He has completed his medical training at the Hacettepe University, School of Medicine in Ankara, and earned his MD degree in 1983.  Following several years of general practice and specialty training, Taner currently works as a full-time radiologist at the Ankara Hospital.  He is married, has two lovely daughters, and continues to enjoy drawing cartoons.
